ACCELERATION
Feel the power of gravity as you leave it all behind
Engines hum with liquid fire in the atmosphere you'll climb
Thrusting into stratosphere the heavy metal rises
Travel to another world and leave behind this crisis
Acceleration is the force that's moving you through space
Energy expended with economy of grace
Action then reaction on a candlestick of fire
Maximize the motion to reach your true desire
Dreaming of a future with a sky that never ends
Examining the present through a fine prismatic lens
The charm of wishing better for your children never fades
A life that's free and healthy is a promise that you've made
Acceleration is the force that's moving you through space
Energy expended with economy of grace
Action then reaction on a candlestick of fire
Maximize the motion to reach your true desire
You generate an answer when you question what you see
Challenging the status quo is where you want to be
There may be complex problems that might dominate your life
Always seek solutions to have peace instead of strife
Acceleration is the force that's moving you through space
Energy expended with economy of grace
Action then reaction on a candlestick of fire
Maximize the motion to reach your true desire
Acceleration Anticipation Exhilaration Love is all you need
Acceleration Anticipation Exhilaration Love is all you need
The prophets just aren't reaching us with preaching about love
We need to think of leaving here for what may be above
If nature is our guide for life we haven't read the book
There are galaxies expanding throughout everywhere we look
Acceleration is the force that's moving you through space
Energy expended with economy of grace
Action then reaction on a candlestick of fire
Maximize the motion to reach your true desire
Acceleration Anticipation Exhilaration Love is all you need
Acceleration Anticipation Exhilaration Love is all you need

Mountains of the Moon

MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON
Isolation can be found in massive peaks above the ground
Jewel of heaven, our own little world within its orbit safely curled
Our close companion that reflects the nights, pulls our tides, lights midnight rides
Calls us back to search dry seas, craters of ages and cliffs like these
Scale the range of those barren heights
Like dragon's teeth in the cold dark nights
They pierce black skies like midnight noon
Austere and lovely, mountains of the moon
We will return to this forgotten land that we see each evening so close at hand
The one named Selene, unrivaled queen,
Who travels the night sky full bright then unseen
Fearing our sanity, held in her sway, our sensible caution will be heeded this day
Changing her face in the sun's varied light, the constant reminder, little sister at night
Scale the range of those barren heights
Like dragon's teeth in the cold dark nights
They pierce black skies like midnight noon
Austere and lovely, mountains of the moon
From high above the lunar plain we'll see
A surface of dust as far as can be
Frozen for eons like a little ghost world
The crags, the valleys and the mountains unfurled
Master of the lonely cliffs can survey
Uncountable galaxies spread out in array
Time means nothing when the worlds we await
The need to release ourselves clear of the gate
We'll return someday to the flag that was planted,
Follow the footprints that our forerunners granted
Landers that stand and then were abandoned, traces of mankind,
The ships they commanded
There may come a renaissance of travel in space
Our grandchildren will have the urgency to embrace
We'll make it our mission to journey the plain but this time we'll have the plans to remain
Scale the range of those barren heights
Like dragon's teeth in the cold dark nights
They pierce black skies like midnight noon
Austere and lovely, mountains of the moon

Creator

CREATOR
Floating along in the slipstream a-daze
Your consciousness is pooling and ebbing in phase
The shifting of tides as you're drifting on down
Solitude develops as you gaze all around
It's a comfortable motion as you silently sway
Seeking this condition as you make your own way
Heedless of your chances in the processes of fate
The natural reaction brings you calm as you wait
Creator makes us over every moment every day
We're in the here and now as we move along our way
There's no time like this instant as we head on through at last
We all live in the present, not the future not the past
The ocean's in commotion as it makes a ceaseless roar
We watch it rolling thunder as we stand along the shore
Tidal force is pulling heavy water to and fro
The power of the moon on us is greater than we know
Miracles of nature seem to fill us all with awe
We meditate on what it means and what we think we saw
Do wonders never cease we ask and hope they never will
We're living in the moment, but the moment's never still
Creator makes us over every moment every day
We're in the here and now as we move along our way
There's no time like this instant as we head on through at last
We all live in the present, not the future not the past
We all need time to create our own lives
We're creators of ourselves, creators of our lives
We all need love to complete ourselves
Creators of love, creators of lives
Sharing tender moments make us healthier and wise
We need to teach each other how to see things through our eyes
To think that we are all alone until we find another
That sense of being part of one's a feeling like no other
The world is often deeper than the things that you may sense
Beauty happens every day into the present tense
We need to trust the simple urge to do our very best
And then we'll find our peace of mind, on which we can attest
Creator makes us over every moment every day
We're in the here and now as we move along our way
There's no time like this instant as we head on through at last
We all live in the present, not the future not the past
We all need time to create our own lives
We're creators of ourselves, creators of our lives
We all need love to complete ourselves
Creators of love, creators of lives

STORYTELLER
By telling of the tale of tribes from very long ago
The magician of the word enchants us then to come to know
Our legends and the stories of our long forgotten kin
They bring to us the memories of where we do begin
We never will remember all those dim and dark days
The narrative reminds us when we start to lose our ways
By the fire deep at night or in warmer daytime bright,
The keeper of our legacy tells what's true and what is right
Tell us all again the timeless songs of an age
Sing to us the verses of true love and outrage
Give us all a reason so we save our treasured past
Make us proud of the fact that our heritage will last
Some think our ancient elders were never that clever
They struggled to raise families and braved the torrid weather
They loved and they fought, built cathedrals, made art
Taught children their survival, came together, then apart
From their guidance we have learned to teach each other as we earned
The respect from our own elders when it came to our turn
Reminds us then that we'll become the ancient ones in time
When we listen to our tellers of the verses and the rhymes
Tell us all again the timeless songs of an age
Sing to us the verses of true love and outrage
Give us all a reason so we save our treasured past
Make us proud of the fact that our heritage will last
The legendary tales will pass through ages fair intact
Because of all the poets who've respected well the fact
The word is just the message that we carry in our song
Recall our fabled past as we bring it all along
All the days of our lives are just a chapter of the book
We share it all together anytime we take a look
It's our duty then to celebrate the ones who came before
We will keep them all alive to share the legends and the lore
Tell us all again the timeless songs of an age
Sing to us the verses of true love and outrage
Give us all a reason so we save our treasured past
Make us proud of the fact that our heritage will last

Dragonrider

DRAGONRIDER
Soaring high above the plain
Wings outspread aloft remain
Against the wind that spirals out
The rider's mount that brooks no doubt
Commands the creature born to fly
She ascends the heights against blue sky
Dragonrider wild and free, over the mountains, across the sea
Dragonrider cannot be tamed, a force of nature, as yet unnamed
See the breeze blow through her hair
The thrill of speed that takes her there
Scarlet scales shine in the sun
Mount and rider become one
Above the land, beyond the pale
Into the void they both will sail
Dragonrider wild and free, over the mountains, across the sea
Dragonrider cannot be tamed, a force of nature, as yet unnamed
A bond marks beast and rider fair
It's hard to gauge but starts with care
The shared desire for achieving flight
Makes their harmony seem just right
Respect for each others mutual gain
Creates both the verses and the refrain
Adrift at peace the powered pair
Rushing free through conquered air
Their silhouettes on golden sun
The clouds above atop their run
They slip and glide past valley view
Over fields and trees they're passing through
Dragonrider wild and free, over the mountains, across the sea
Dragonrider cannot be tamed, a force of nature, as yet unnamed

ASTRAL FIRE
We forgot about the mission to explore the outer plane
Need to see things for ourselves before we go insane
Sent out remote robotics then to feed our heart's desire
They took our place in outer space to feel the astral fire
First step in the challenge is to colonize our moon
Next we make the jump to Mars with the will to get there soon
Use that as our platform to start mining our new wealth
Then further to the next stage to explore the inner belt
We forgot about the mission to explore the outer plane
Need to see things for ourselves before we go insane
Sent out remote robotics then to feed our heart's desire
They took our place in outer space to feel the astral fire
All we need is willingness to meet this lofty goal
Acting on the steps we take to help fulfill our role
Prepare ourselves to collaborate with all these brilliant minds
Then meet the greatest task we have to further humankind
Time and time again we ask “What else could be out there?”
We need to go beyond the gate to show the world we care
Seeking our own future is the way we need to live
It's for our children, that's the goal, it's all we've got to give
Make our mark in traveling far past our only star
Overcome our loneliness in the universe so far
Flying to the earth-like worlds we've spotted in our sights
Take our chances with the faith to sail these starlit nights
We forgot about the mission to explore the outer plane
Need to see things for ourselves before we go insane
Sent out remote robotics then to feed our heart's desire
They took our place in outer space to feel the astral fire

TEMPLE OF SCIENCE
You are welcome here to enter halls of wonder in the center
Of the universal splendor known as science of the mind
You can feel the power growing as you find yourself all-knowing
While developing awareness in the strength of humankind
It's the science we believe in a way that makes us bold
It's the facts of our existence not the fiction that we're told
No legends to unravel, no divine or mystic gods
We discern our place in here and now against increasing odds
We are building a new temple but we know it's not that simple
To be struggling with legacies of guilt and mortal shame
There's a power in revolution when we're seeking resolution
In the search for absolution from our heritage of blame
It's the science we believe in a way that makes us bold
It's the facts of our existence not the fiction that we're told
No legends to unravel, no divine or mystic gods
We discern our place in here and now against increasing odds
We don't need no superstition, it's the way we need to live
We don't need no bad religion, truth is all we've got to give
We don't need no superstition, it's the way we need to live
We don't need no bad religion, truth is all we've got to give
Tell the preachers we don't need them or their blessings or their creed
When we try to live our lives without their judgment and their rules
We seek to find the truth that's real which nature will at last reveal
Don't need those false messiahs when they're acting like the fools
It's the science we believe in a way that makes us bold
It's the facts of our existence not the fiction that we're told
No legends to unravel, no divine or mystic gods
We discern our place in here and now against increasing odds
We don't need no superstition, it's the way we need to live
We don't need no bad religion, truth is all we've got to give
We don't need no superstition, it's the way we need to live
We don't need no bad religion, truth is all we've got to give

Monolith

MONOLITH
Harbinger of fate lies in the distant shadowed past
The keeper of a language no one else could understand
A mesmerizing hum of intelligence it cast
To the creatures we became then we took it well in hand
We knew not that it made us thirst for truth beyond our ken
No messages came to us from that image in our mind
The thoughts we dwelled upon those days were of the greater sin
Of knowing our true nature and betraying humankind
The monolith came to us from another time and place
An artifact of power from deepfield outer space
Sentience as far from us as we are from the source
Unknown benefactors trying to change our history's course
Are we still alone or are there those who change our fate?
Do we have a chance to stand with others of our kind
Or will we keep ourselves in check until it is too late?
The mystery of the stone will be one secret we will find
The mission of the unseen force to influence our ways
We must ask the question then to change the way we live
Do they know that we are lost and numbering our days?
We must seek the answer now with all we've got to give
The monolith came to us from another time and place
An artifact of power from deepfield outer space
Sentience as far from us as we are from the source
Unknown benefactors trying to change our history's course
The sentinel stood watch through time until it was revealed
That eons past in which it lay in wait for us to grow
A signal from the stars beyond so cleverly concealed
Gave the makers an ability to share what we should know
Our chances to remain in search of entities unseen
Depends again on what we learn in journeys to a star
We look for clues far from our world to be where they have been
Perhaps we'll be the teachers then and will have come so far
The monolith came to us from another time and place
An artifact of power from deepfield outer space
Sentience as far from us as we are from the source
Unknown benefactors trying to change our history's course

ASTRONAUT SONG
Think about some traveling so far away from home
Looking at the stars above and all that room to roam
Haven't got a reason much to stick around this place
Might as well get on a ship and steer your way to space
Ride a roman candle up into the stratosphere
Forget about the troubles you've been having all this year
Suit up and go weightless and you can't be that far wrong
Leave this world behind and sing an astronaut song
Make a date with destiny and jump into the race
Put on your space cowboy hat and strap yourself in place
Feel the thunder in your bones as you begin to rise
The earth will be so beautiful, you won't believe your eyes
Ride a roman candle up into the stratosphere
Forget about the troubles you've been having all this year
Suit up and go weightless and you can't be that far wrong
Leave this world behind and sing an astronaut song
Even if you're jaded and no longer having fun
This trip will make a kid of you, the coolest thing you've done
The best way is to let it go and leave your cares behind
Just head on through the atmosphere and let it blow you mind
Take the time to think about the wonders that you'll see
The world below your feet is as free as you will ever be
Appreciate your planet and the only home we know
And when you touch down finally your face will be aglow
Ride a roman candle up into the stratosphere
Forget about the troubles you've been having all this year
Suit up and go weightless and you can't be that far wrong
Leave this world behind and sing an astronaut song

HELIOS ORBIT
The god who dared blaze a wandering trail,
Whose chariot rose in the east without fail
A turning of worlds that began with the dawn
Nighttime retreating, the light coming on
Rays of the sun from the crowned diadem
Piercing the red and gold clouds with a hymn
Come the morning, his sister Eos alone
Paving the way for the star on her own
Helios traveled the sky like a prince
He's warmed the whole earth from the past ever since
The light he gave freely so nature could grow
His life-giving legacy more than we know
Phaeton his son drove quadriga one day,
Could not restrain all the four horses at bay
Zeus struck him down with a bolt from the blue
To keep him from burning the world as he flew
Hyperion his father looked down from above,
He had nothing to give to his son but his love
A boat took him down to the river at night,
The journey through darkness to the first rays of light
Helios traveled the sky like a prince
He's warmed the whole earth from the past ever since
The light he gave freely so nature could grow
His life-giving legacy more than we know
All-seeing being the eye of the powers
He witnesses the truth that transpires at all hours
His sister Selene is the night's holy queen,
Who travels to counter his command of the scene
She gathers the stars as her inherited crown
But he rules in the day till his transport goes down
The colossus astride on the island of Rhodes,
His beautiful face for the world to behold
Helios traveled the sky like a prince
He's warmed the whole earth from the past ever since
The light he gave freely so nature could grow
His life-giving legacy more than we know
